These are applications pursuant to section 96 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (the "Act").
On July 26, 2000, the applicant replied to the responding party’s assertion that the Board lacks jurisdiction to hear the application in Board File No. 0946-00-U. The same jurisdictional argument is raised by the responding party in Board File No. 0756-00-U.
The Board has decided not to determine the jurisdictional issue solely on the basis of the parties’ written submissions. The responding party may raise the jurisdictional question as a preliminary issue before the panel of the Board hearing these applications.
