DECISION OF THE BOARD; April 26, 2000
- This is an application pursuant to section 68 of the Employment Standards Act as amended by the Economic Development and Workplace Democracy Act, 1998, S.O. 1998, c.8. The workplace parties have entered into Minutes of Settlement dated April 25, 2000. Having regard to the Minutes of Settlement, I hereby order:
(i) that the wages paid to the "Director in trust" in relation to this matter be disbursed as follows:
to be paid to John E. F. Gibson
in trust for Roberta Hubble $17,100.00
(ii) that the administration fee
as set out in the Order to
Pay be retained by the
Government of Ontario
Consolidated Revenue Fund $ 1,710.00
total amount held by the
Director $18,810.00
(iii) Aon Inc. will pay the sum of $2,900.00 to John E.F. Gibson in
trust for Roberta Hubble.
(iv) Roberta Hubble withdraws her allegations that Aon Inc. has
violated the Employment Standards Act, and in particular section 43 of the Act.
- The Ministry of Labour, a responding party to the application but not a signatory to the Minutes of Settlement, shall have ten working days from the date of this decision to request, if necessary, that this matter be relisted for hearing.
Disposition
- In the absence of a request described in paragraph 2, this matter shall be deemed to be terminated.
