BEFORE: Patrick Kelly, Vice‑Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; August 22, 2000
- The Board is in receipt of correspondence dated August 21, 2000 from counsel for the Service Employees’ International Union, Local 204 (“SEIU”). Counsel alleges that the Canadian Union of Public Employees has committed unfair labour practices and requests certain orders from the Board in that regard. In addition, there is a request for reconsideration of an earlier board decision on the issue whether or not a position should be included in the service bargaining unit. The Board is not prepared to grant SEIU’s requests at this time. These matters can be raised with the panel scheduled to hear these applications after the taking of the representation votes.
