DECISION OF THE BOARD; July 20, 2000
This is an application for review of an Order to Pay issued pursuant to the Employment Standards Act (the “ESA”). An undated letter was forwarded to the Ministry of Labour office in South Porcupine. That letter appeared to seek review of an Order to Pay. The Ministry of Labour forwarded that letter to the Board by memo dated June 22, 2000 and received by the Board on June 26, 2000.
By letter dated June 28, 2000 sent in both English and French, the Board advised the applicant that its application had not been filed properly. The letter enclosed a copy of the Board’s Rules, a copy of the correct application form, and a copy of the applicable Information Bulletin. It further provided that a failure to file a proper application may result in termination of the application. The deadline set for any re-filing of the application was 10 working days from the date of the letter, that is, July 13, 2000. To date the Board has received no response.
In the circumstances this matter is hereby terminated.
