DECISION OF THE BOARD; October 25, 2000
Decision
These are applications for certification filed pursuant to the construction industry provisions of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (the “Act”). The applications were filed on June 19, 1999.
Pursuant to Rule 76 of the Board’s Rules of Procedure, a pre-hearing conference took place on October 18, 2000. During the course of the pre-hearing conference, the Board issued the following directions:
Pursuant to Rule 58, the Board directs that Board File Nos. 0799-99-R, 0816-99-R and 0817-99-R be consolidated for the purposes of dealing with various status disputes of which there are currently 104 before the Board.
Graham Brothers Limited (“Graham”), the responding party in all three matters, is directed to file with the Board and with the respective applicants on or before December 15, 2000 its reply with respect to the respective applications. The reply shall include statements issued by individuals whose status is in dispute.
The applicants in these matters shall provide any further submissions with respect to the reply of Graham and to the respective parties by no later than January 31, 2001.
The Board directs that a further pre-hearing conference shall take place on February 19, 2001.
These matters are scheduled to be heard on the following dates: April 24, 25, 26, 27, May 7, 8, 9, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, June 4, 5, 6, 7, 18, 19, 20, 2001 commencing at 9:30 a.m. in the “Board Room”, 2nd Floor, 505 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
