DECISION OF THE BOARD; September 20, 2000
This is an application for certification in the construction industry.
By decision dated August 17, 2000 the Board directed the applicant and the intervenor to exchange pleadings on what we understood to be the only issue, that is, whether the responding party has entered into a valid voluntary recognition agreement with the intervenor, thus barring this application.
The Board has reviewed the submissions. There are significant factual disputes which will have to be resolved in a traditional oral hearing.
As set out in the August 17, 2000 decision this matter will be heard on October 10, 2000, commencing at 9:30 a.m. on the 2nd Floor of the Board’s Offices, 505 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
