2337-97-ES Joseph A. William a Director for Proma International Inc., Applicant v. Ministry of Labour, Responding Party.
BEFORE: Mary Ellen Cummings, Adjudicator/Referee.
DECISION; May 23, 2000
1. This is an appeal by a Director from a decision of an Officer.
2. By letter dated March 16, 1999, counsel for the Ministry of Labour wrote that the matter had been resolved, and the hearing dates were no longer required.
3. Because that letter did not make it clear how the parties wanted the matter disposed of, a Labour Relations Officer sought to contact the applicant through his counsel.
4. To date no correspondence has been received confirming how the matter should formally be disposed of, no doubt because it makes no practical difference to anyone.
DISPOSITION
5. Having regard to the advice that the matter is settled, this proceeding is hereby terminated in accordance with section 69.1(5) of the Employment Standards Act.
