DECISION OF THE BOARD; November 15, 2000
1This application was filed on May 2, 2000.
2The responding party trade union filed (a limited) response in or about mid-May indicating that an arbitration proceeding was in process. The employer filed a response shortly thereafter indicating, inter alia, that an arbitration proceeding was in process.
3The employer, by letter dated November 1, 2000, has now advised the Board that the arbitration proceeding has been completed and that the applicant’s grievance has been dismissed.
4The employer requests that the present application be dismissed in view of the results of those proceedings.
5The applicant and the responding party trade union are directed to advise the Board, in writing, not later than 3 weeks from the date hereof, whether there is any reason for the instant matter to proceed and, if so, why it is necessary to do so.
6In absence of any further submissions as directed herein, the Board may dismiss the application.
