Salvation Army v. Steve Nield, Inspector and Ministry of Labour
1217-00-HS Salvation Army, Applicant v. Steve Nield, Inspector and Ministry of Labour, Responding Parties.
BEFORE: Harry Freedman, Vice-Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; August 11, 2000
1The applicant mailed a copy of an order issued by an inspector under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, R. S. O. 1990, c. O. 1, as am., (the “Act”) in F. V. No. 899027 to the Board. It seems that the applicant, by doing so, was seeking to appeal the order under section 61 of the Act.
2The Registrar, by letter to the applicant dated July 25, 2000 advised the applicant that its application could not be processed because it did not comply with the Board’s Rules. The letter indicated the correct process to follow and enclosed the necessary form, Board Rules and applicable information bulletin. The letter also stated in bold type: “If the Board does not receive your properly completed Form A-65 within 15 calendar days of the date of this letter, the proceeding will be terminated.” As of the date of this decision, no additional material has been filed by the applicant.
3This appeal is hereby dismissed.
“Harry Freedman”
for the Board
