DECISION OF THE BOARD; November 21, 2000
1This is an application for certification in which the Board, differently constituted, by decision dated April 14, 2000 directed the taking of a representation vote. The vote was held on April 18, 2000 and the ballot box was sealed. Subsequently, the parties requested that the Board cancel its usual regional certification meeting that had been scheduled for June 2, 2000 as the parties were attempting to negotiate a settlement of all of the outstanding issues.
2Counsel for the applicant, by letter to the Registrar dated November 17, 2000 advised the Board that the applicant now seeks leave of the Board to withdraw this application.
3Having regard to the request of the applicant, this application for certification is withdrawn at the request of the applicant. As this application was withdrawn after a representation vote was taken, the parties’ attention is directed to section 7(10) of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, S.O. 1995, c. 1 as amended (the “Act”).
