1This is an application for a declaration of successorship under section 68 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (the “Act”).
2The applicant claims that it is the successor to the responding party, United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 102 for:
all job sectors within the retail store, below supervisor. Five (5) locations: Oshawa, Woodbridge, Markham, Scarborough and Stoney Creek.
The responding party trade union consents to the declaration being made without an oral hearing by the Board. The responding party employer also does not oppose the applicant’s request. Further, the application was posted in the workplace and no employees have objected.
3On the basis of the material before it, the Board hereby declares that the applicant is the successor to the responding party trade union for the unit(s) of employees identified above.
