BEFORE: David A. McKee, Vice-Chair, and Board Members J. G. Knight and G. McMenemy.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; December 20, 2000
1It has come to the attention of the Board that the decision of November 15, 2000 contains an error. In paragraph 2 of the application, the Board finds that “the applicant is a trade union within the meaning of sections 1(1) and 126 of the Act”. In fact, the certificate of status in the file refers only to a finding of status as a trade union within the meaning of section 1(1). As is evident from the issues outlined in subparagraphs 6(d) and (f), the issue of whether the applicant is a trade union as defined in section 126 is still an issue in this application. Assuming that this argument is not affected by current proposed legislative changes, it will be before the panel hearing this application on January 17, 2001.
2The Board therefore reconsiders paragraph 2 of the decision of November 15, 2000 in this matter and deletes the words “and 126” from the second paragraph thereof.
