1525-00-U Ontario Public Service Employees Union and its Local 462, Applicant v. Kingston Regional Ambulance Service and Hotel Dieu Hospital and Frontenac Management Board, Responding Parties.
BEFORE: Bram Herlich, Vice-Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; November 7, 2000
The responding party Frontenac Management Board asserts that it is “improperly named” in this application.
This Board’s tasks would undoubtedly be simplified if applications could be disposed of on the simple basis of a responding party’s assertion that they are improperly named.
However, in this particular case it is not clear that there is any specific allegation of wrongdoing made against or remedy sought from the Frontenac Management Board (“FMB”). Accordingly, we invite the applicant to respond to the request that the FMB be removed as a responding party. Such response is to be filed with the Board not later than 3 weeks from the date hereof.
We note that an Officer’s report date was set for October 6, 2000 in this matter. There is no indication that any meeting has taken place or has been scheduled in this matter.
The Registrar is directed to list this matter for hearing.
