DECISION OF THE BOARD; June 28, 2000
This is an application pursuant to section 21, 22 and/or 23 of the Public Sector Labour Relations Transition Act, 1997 ("the Act").
The applicant states that there will be an amalgamation of certain municipalities on January 1, 2001, the changeover date, and that the responding party is a successor employer.
The Board directs the parties to file submissions as to the jurisdiction of the Board to commence the process leading to a vote under the Act when the changeover date has yet to happen.
The parties have until July 14, 2000 to file submissions, after which the Board will consider the matter further.
I am seized of this matter solely in respect of the issue identified in this decision.
