1Counsel for the responding party (“the union”) requests an extension until August 30, 2000 for the filing of its response in this matter. Counsel cites the union’s international convention and the vacations of the union’s office staff as factors which prevent it from completing an investigation of the applicant’s allegations, and a timely response.
2The Board is prepared to grant an extension, but the duration sought by counsel appears excessive given that the applicant alleges he lost his employment.
3In the circumstances, the Board grants an extension for the filing and delivery of the response to August 22, 2000.
