DECISION OF THE BOARD; March 6, 2000
Board File No. 3363-99-HS is an application to suspend Inspector R. Taggart’s order in Field Visit #795746 dated February 2, 2000 pursuant to section 61(7) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, (the “Act”). The applicant is also seeking to appeal the Inspector’s order. The appeal has been assigned Board File 3362-99-HS. This decision deals only with the suspension request.
The Ministry of Labour advised the Board that it does not object to the suspension of the Inspector’s order pending the appeal being heard and decided in this matter. CUPE in its response dated February 24, 2000 does not raise any objection to the order being suspended.
The applicant named a number of individuals as affected parties. No submissions have been received from any of the named individuals.
Having reviewed the materials filed by the parties I find it appropriate to suspend the order in F.V.#795746 pursuant to section 61(7) of the Act.
The appeal in Board File No. 3362-99-HS is referred to the Registrar.
