1The applicant employer has requested an extension of time for the filing of a reconsideration request of a decision made pursuant to the provisions of section 68 of the Employment Standards Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E.14, as amended (“the Act”) on March 15, 2000.
2A request for reconsideration, under Board Rule 96, must be filed within 20 days of the date of the Board’s decision, except with the permission of the Board.
3Save in exceptional circumstances, the Board will not consider a request for an extension of the time period stipulated in Rule 96 unless the request is brought within that time period.
4The extension request was made on May 30, 2000 well outside the 20-day period referred to in Rule 96.
5There are no exceptional circumstances justifying the grant of the request and it is denied.
