Barbara Horn v. United Steelworkers of America, Local 260
File No.: 0401-00-U Applicant: Barbara Horn Responding Party: United Steelworkers of America, Local 260 Intervenor: Consumers Packaging Inc.
Before: Bram Herlich, Vice-Chair.
Decision of the Board; June 29, 2000
Decision
1By decision dated May 30, 2000, the applicant was given 2 weeks to advise the Board why it should not dismiss this application on the basis (among others) that it represents an attempt to file a fresh application in relation to a complaint which has already been dealt with and disposed of by the Board (differently constituted in Board File 2590-99-U).
2No such submissions have been received. The Board’s decision was forwarded to the applicant (and the other parties) on May 30, 2000. There is nothing in the Board File to suggest that correspondence from the Board was not delivered in the usual course. On June 5, 2000, however, the Board received a handwritten communication advising of a change in address for the applicant and her representative.
The Board file also suggests that a second copy of the Board’s May 30, 2000 decision in this matter was faxed to the applicant’s representative on June 7, 2000.
3More than two weeks have elapsed since the May 30, 2000 decision and since the second copy of the Board’s copy of the Board’s decision appears to have been faxed to the applicant.
4The Board has had no submissions from the applicant as to why this application ought not to be dismissed.
5This application is hereby dismissed.
