DECISION OF THE BOARD; July 4, 2000
1This is an application under section 50 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (“the Act”).
2The responding party has filed a letter dated May 16, 2000 in which it asserts that the applicant did not appear at pre-hearing meetings scheduled on December 21, 1999 and May 1, 2000 to discuss the matter. It asserts that the application should be dismissed due to the applicant’s apparent “lack of interest”.
3The applicant is directed to inform the Board in writing (with a copy to Transit Trailer Limited) as to whether he wishes this application to proceed to a hearing. If the Board does not hear from the applicant in writing by July 19, 2000, the matter will be deemed terminated.
