3190-99-ES Rudolph’s Specialty Bakeries Ltd., Applicant v. Thomas Johnston and Ministry of Labour, Responding Parties.
BEFORE: Inge M. Stamp, Vice-Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; May 24, 2000
The applicant, Rudolph’s Specialty Bakeries Limited, requests an adjournment of the July 6, 2000 hearing scheduled in this matter. The Board does not grant adjournments unless they are on consent or there are extraordinary circumstances that are generally beyond the control of the parties involved. The responding party Thomas Johnston does not agree to the adjournment.
The reasons set out in the applicant’s letters of April 22, 2000 and May 23, 2000 are not persuasive in light of the Board’s longstanding jurisprudence with respect to adjournments. The request for adjournment is denied.
