Drywall Acoustic Lathing and Insulation Local 675, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America v. Simplex Drywall Limited
0063-00-G; 0450-00-G; 0773-00-G Drywall Acoustic Lathing and Insulation Local 675, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Applicant v. Simplex Drywall Limited, Responding Party.
BEFORE: D. L. Gee, Vice-Chair, and Board Members J. G. Knight and G. McMenemy.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; August 14, 2000
1The Board is in receipt of a request for reconsideration in respect of these matters. Amongst other things, the request indicates that Zeljko Lulic, principal of the responding party, was prevented from arriving at the hearing of these matters on June 30, 2000 at 9:30 a.m. as a result of heavy traffic. It is asserted that, when Mr. Lulic arrived at the Board shortly before 10:00 a.m., he was unable to find anyone in the hearing room assigned by the Board for the hearing. Based on the facts as asserted in the request relating to Mr. Lulic’s attempt to attend at the Board hearing, the Board is inclined to revoke its decision of July 4, 2000 and relist these matters for hearing.
2The applicant is hereby directed to advise the Board as to its position with respect to the responding party’s request that these matters be relisted for hearing for the reasons set out in the foregoing paragraph no later than August 22, 2000.
