Ontario Labour Relations Board
2814-99-ES Ronald Fairman, Applicant v. Ministry of Labour, Responding Party.
BEFORE: Gail Misra, Vice-Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; January 21, 2000
[1]. By letter dated December 10, 1999 Mr. Fairman advised the Ontario Labour Relations Board that he was seeking to make an application for review of an Employment Standards Officer’s decision.
[2]. The Board assumed that Mr. Fairman was attempting to file an application for review pursuant to section 68 of the Employment Standards Act, (the “Act”). It therefore sent him a letter dated December 15, 1999 indicating that the Board was unable to process the application as it had not been filed on the correct form and did not comply with the Board’s Rules of Procedure. The Board sent Mr. Fairman a set of the appropriate forms and the pertinent rules, and directed that he had an additional 20 working days in which to file the application properly.
[3]. To date the Board has received nothing further from Mr. Fairman. As the 20 days have now passed, it would appear that he does not wish to file an application for review in this matter.
DISPOSITION
[4]. This matter is hereby terminated.
“Gail Misra”
for the Board
