DECISION OF THE BOARD; March 23, 2000
This is a reference by the Minister of Labour to the Ontario Labour Relations Board pursuant to section 3(2) of the Hospital Labour Disputes Arbitration Act (the“HLDAA”).
In correspondence received March 14 and March 20, 2000, the employers have advised the Board that they are no longer objecting to a determination that HLDAA applies to the labour relations between the parties. The employers indicate that they do not object to the Board rendering a decision to the Minister to that effect.
In view of the position of the employers outlined above the Board hereby advises the Minister that the employers are a “hospital” within the meaning of the HLDAA.
