DECISION OF THE BOARD; September 8, 2000
1The hearing of these matters was scheduled to continue on September 7 and 8, 2000. The applicant in File No. 1988-99-ES was to be cross-examined by the responding party, Terry Kelly. However the evening before the hearing the Board was advised by telephone and in writing that Mr. Galvez had to attend to a medical emergency involving his child and would therefore not be able to attend the hearing. Counsel for the applicants however, indicated that she would be prepared to continue with the other applicants. However, a few minutes before the commencement of the hearing the Vice-Chair received a telephone message indicating that Mr. Kelly was unable to attend the hearing as he had been in an accident. In the circumstances the Board considered it appropriate to adjourn the two hearing dates.
2The Board directs Mr. Kelly to provide a letter explaining his inability to attend the hearing.
3This matter is referred to the Registrar to set two further dates.
