1This is an employee appeal under section 68 of the Employment Standards Act against the refusal by an Employment Standards Officer to issue an Order to Pay in the amounts claimed by the applicant.
2Prior to the hearing of this matter on March 14, 2000, the parties concluded Minutes of Settlement in the following terms:
MINUTES OF SETTLEMENT
Between: Jeffrey Allan Long
(Claimant)
and
Crawford Dewar
And Dewar Right (1230919 Ontario Ltd.)
(Employer)
The parties agree to a settlement of the Employment Standards Claim of Mr. Long filed under OLRB #1545-98-ES on the following terms and conditions:
The Employer will pay the claimant the sum of $750.00 by certified cheque or money order within one week of the date of this settlement.
If the amount in full is not paid, the claimant may recommence proceedings against the Employer before the OLRB immediately.
The claimant releases the Employer from any and all claims under the Employment Standards Act on receipt of the monies owed.
