2964-99-R Robert Anderson, Applicant v. Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association, Local Union No. 47, Responding Party v. Almonte Fire Trucks Co., Intervenor.
BEFORE: David A. McKee, Vice‑Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; May 31, 2000
This is an application for termination of the bargaining rights of the responding party, brought pursuant to section 63 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, S.O. 1995 ch.1 (the “Act”). A representation vote was conducted on January 12, 2000, and the ballot box was sealed. The responding party filed in its response allegations that the intervenor, the employer of the persons in the bargaining unit, had initiated the application or engaged in threats, coercion or intimidation as defined in section 63(16). At the conclusion of evidence, the responding party withdrew these allegations and advised the Board that it was prepared to count the ballots cast in the representation vote conducted.
This application is referred to the Manager of Field Services to arrange to count the ballots cast in the representation vote.
