DECISION OF THE BOARD; June 30, 2000
1. This is an application for certification made pursuant to the construction industry provisions of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, S.O. 1995 ch. 1 (the "Act"). This decision is issued by this panel of the Board having regard to the parties’ request for expedition in the counting of the ballots and the agreement of the parties to all matters contained herein.
2. The Board orders that the ballots cast in the representation vote, including those segregated ballots agreed to by the parties in paragraph 1 of the Minutes of Settlement filed herein, be counted by teleconference. This process means that two Labour Relations Officers will meet in a room at the Board’s offices with the parties in attendance by telephone conference call. The Officers will announce the results of the ballots as they are counted. The parties will be provided with the results in writing subsequently.
3. The applications in Board Files 0011-00-U and 0071-00-U are withdrawn by the applicant.
4. This panel is not seized of this matter.
