DECISION OF THE BOARD; March 9, 2000
This is a further request for reconsideration of the Board’s decision dated December 6, 1999. The Board had previously determined that this application for review was untimely as the applicant had failed to pay to the Director of Employment Standards the amount stipulated by the Order to Pay issued on August 11, 1999 (and subsequently amended by way of decision dated January 13, 2000).
Counsel for the applicant advises the Board that the Director is prepared to accept a letter of guarantee from the applicant in the amount of $100.00 pursuant to section 68(7) of the Employment Standards Act, R.S.O., 1990, c.E14. The Director has now confirmed with the Board that it has agreed to this arrangement and that it is in receipt of a letter of guarantee from the applicant in the amount of $100.00.
Accordingly, the Board hereby grants the request for reconsideration. The Board finds the application for review to be timely. The Registrar is directed to process this matter in the normal course.
