DECISION OF THE BOARD; April 11, 2000
This is an application filed pursuant to section 96 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (the “Act”) alleging breaches of sections 72, 74 and 75.
This application was filed on April 29, 1997. By June 1997 the responses had been filed. A Labour Relations Officer has attempted to mediate the dispute. However, despite efforts being made, it has now been over two years since the applicants have had any contact with the Board. As it is corrosive to labour relations to have such matters remain outstanding and unresolved it is necessary to determine the applicants’ intentions. Ms. Callender and Ms. Radford are therefore directed to indicate what their intentions are with respect to this application within 10 days from the date of this decision. Should the Board fail to hear from them within that time, this application will be deemed abandoned and therefore dismissed.
