DECISION OF THE BOARD; December 27, 2000
This is an application under section 63 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (the “Act”) in which the applicant seeks a declaration that the responding party no longer represents the employees in the bargaining unit for which it is the bargaining agent.
By letter dated December 15, 2000, the responding party states that it no longer wishes to represent the employees in the bargaining unit for which it is the bargaining agent.
In view of the responding party's position, and pursuant to section 63(17) of the Act, the Board hereby declares that the responding party no longer represents the employees of Legacy Hotels Corporation (Fairmont Chateau Laurier) formerly Canadian Pacific Hotels Corporation, Chateau Laurier Hotel, in the bargaining unit for which it is the bargaining agent.
