OVERVIEW
1Daniel W. Robinson, the appellant, filed an appeal from the 45-day impoundment of his 2008 Dodge RAM under section 55.1 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, C. H.8 (the "Act"). The appellant's motor vehicle was impounded on October 1, 2024. At the time of the impoundment, the motor vehicle was being driven by a third party, Collin L. Cirfe, while his licence was under suspension resulting from a prescribed criminal conviction.
2The appellant's Notice of Appeal, dated October 10, 2024, did not provide reasons for the appeal based on the permitted grounds under s.50.2 of the Act, as required. After considering the available grounds for appeal under s.50.2 of the Act respecting notices to impound, the appellant withdrew the appeal at the hearing.
RESULT
3As the appellant withdrew his application at the hearing, the Tribunal's file is now closed.
