1Jonathan Drew-Tucker (the “appellant”) appeals the 45-day impoundment of his 2015 Lincoln MKC under s. 55.1 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, C. H.8 (the “Act”). The vehicle was impounded on December 24, 2022. Although the Notice to Registrar advised that the appellant was driving the vehicle while his licence was under suspension resulting from a prescribed criminal conviction, the appellant contested that allegation.
2At the beginning of the hearing, both parties attended, and the agent for the Registrar advised that the Ministry of Transportation has agreed to release the vehicle and to pay for the outstanding impound fees.
3As such, the Tribunal’s file is now closed.
