OVERVIEW
1Timothy Sorokopas (the “appellant”) appeals the impoundment of his 2015 Chevy Camaro on October 6, 2023, for 45 days under section 55.1 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8 (the “HTA”). At the time of the impoundment, his spouse was driving the vehicle while her driving privileges were under suspension resulting from a prescribed Criminal Code conviction.
2After the appellant’s testimony, the agent for the Registrar advised that the Ministry of Transportation has agreed to release the vehicle and to pay for the outstanding impound fees.
3As such, the Tribunal’s file is now closed.
