Overview

1This was an appeal from a Notice of Proposal issued by the respondent, the Registrar under the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act, 2002 (the Act) to revoke the registration of Platinum Cars Inc. as a motor vehicle dealer under the Act, and of Shaun Jalili, as a salesperson under the Act.

2The hearing commenced on May 3, 2021 and was to continue for nine days. However, the parties have since agreed to resolve all issues on the appeal.

3Therefore, on consent of the parties, the Tribunal orders as follows:

ORDER

4The Registrar will not carry out its Notice of Proposal to revoke the appellants’ registrations;

5The registrations of both Shaun Jalili and Platinum Cars Inc. shall be subject to the conditions agreed to by the parties by way of Minutes of Settlement dated May 11, 2021 a copy of which will be retained by the Registrar in accordance with the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry (OMVIC)’s Access and Privacy Code.

6The remaining dates for this hearing will be vacated.
