AND IN THE MATTER OF A REQUEST FOR A STAY BY AUSTIN ADAMS OF THOROUGHBRED RULING NUMBER 3735720

Decision:
The Panel grants the request for a stay, on consent.
WHEREAS Austin Adams (“ADAMS”) is licensed with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“Commission”) as a Jockey, Licence Number JKY1549255;
AND WHEREAS on June 3, 2026, Commission Racing Officials issued Thoroughbred Ruling Number 3735720 after ADAMS was found to be in violation of Thoroughbred Rule 11.07 as a result of riding his mount MOBULA in Race 1 at Woodbine Racetrack on May 30, 2026 and moving inwards with his mount in the backstretch, so as to interfere with BRENGUNGIRL;
AND WHEREAS MOBULA was subsequently disqualified from 1st place and was placed 5th and was assessed a three day riding suspension to be served on June 18, 19 and 20, 2026 in accordance with Thoroughbred Rules 9.14.01, 9.14.02, 9.14.03, 11.909.01, 11.09.03, 11.09.05, 11.12, 11.14 and 16.13(c);
AND WHEREAS on June 3, 2026, ADAMS filed a Notice of Appeal and a Notice of Motion requesting a stay with the Panel to which the Registrar consented;
TAKE NOTICE that the Panel grants the request for a stay, on consent.
