Decision:

The Panel grants the request for a stay, on consent.

WHEREAS Sofia Vives (“VIVES”) is licensed with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“Commission”) as a Jockey, Licence Number JKY1421368;

AND WHEREAS on May 29, 2026, Commission Officials issued Thoroughbred Ruling 3727628 to VIVES for coming out with her mount LET’S GO SOUPER and interfering with LITTLE LOLA during the backstretch run of Race 11 on May 23, 2026 at Woodbine Racetrack and shall serve a three-day riding suspension to be served on June 12,13 and 14, 2026;

AND WHEREAS LET’S GO SOUPER finished 3rd and was subsequently placed 9th as set out in accordance with Rules 9.14.01, 9.14.02, 9.14.03, 11.07, 11.09.01,11.09.03, 11.09.05, 11.12 and 11.14 of the Thoroughbred Rules of Racing:

AND WHEREAS on June 2, 2026, VIVES filed a Notice of Appeal and a Notice of Motion requesting a stay with the Panel, to which the Registrar consented;

TAKE NOTICE that the Panel granted the motion for a stay, on consent;
