HEARING

Decision
1The grievance in this matter pertains to a written letter of reprimand. The grievor has also received a subsequent 1-day suspension, which is the subject of another grievance. The parties have agreed that, if that grievance is properly referred to arbitration, it will be consolidated and heard together with the instant grievance.
2In the circumstances, the parties are encouraged to consider whether to jointly agree to waive the Step 2 meeting in the suspension grievance and to have it referred directly to the Board for arbitration. The parties are equally encouraged to canvass other outstanding grievances filed on behalf of this grievor in order to determine a rational hearing process should any of those matters be properly referred to arbitration, including the possibility listing them for hearing together with the instant matter.
3Hearing in this case will continue on May 10, 2023
Dated at Toronto, Ontario this 12th day of September, 2022.
