HEARING
December 1, 2021
Decision
1Two Grievances of Mrs. Barbara Farrell, an employee working with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, were before me in a teleconference on December 1, 2021.
2There had been an earlier adjournment of these proceedings which had been scheduled for August 25, 2021.
3Employer Counsel had on two separate occasions prior to that date requested particulars of the Grievor’s allegations of harassment and discrimination.
4Those requests had not been satisfied by the scheduled August 25 hearing date.
5That hearing date of August 25, 2021 was adjourned for other reasons and rescheduled to March 2, 2022.
6In the circumstances, the Employer Counsel sought an Order for particulars of these grievances.
7Having heard the submissions of Counsel, I ordered and directed verbally as follows:
a) That the Union shall provide full particulars of the grievances at or before Tuesday, January 4, 2022;
b) That the failure of the Union to provide particulars at or before that day may result in the dismissal of the grievances.
8I hereby confirm my earlier verbal Order as set out above.
Dated at Toronto, Ontario this 2nd day of December, 2021.
