DECISION
1The instant grievance is scheduled to be heard before me on November 4, 2021.
2The union advised that it intends to call Ms. Monica Verma to provide testimony at the hearing. It further advised that it has attempted, but failed to effect service of a summons on Ms. Verma. An affidavit of attempted service was filed. The union sought an order from the Board permitting service by email. The Employer did not object to the request.
3In the circumstance it is hereby ordered that the union is permitted to serve Ms. Monica Verma a summons by email, requiring her attendance to testify before the Board. The summons so served will have the same legal effect as a summons served personally.
Dated at Toronto, Ontario this 7th day of October, 2021.
