INTERIM DECISION
1The subject grievances relate to scenarios at the Central Ambulance Communication Centre (CACC) in Oshawa.
2The Grievors’ duties as Ambulance Communication Officers (ACO-1) are largely comprised of the processing of requests for Emergency Medical Services (EMS/Paramedics) and the dispatch of EMS resources.
3There has yet to be a proper crystallization of issues in this matter. In the circumstances I hereby order and direct the Parties to address and resolve insofar as possible all matters relating to:
- The handling of interim Grievances of a similar nature.
- Clarification of Particulars sought and provided.
- Additional productions sought if any.
- Identification and crystallization of issues.
4Such exchanges as are necessary shall take place and be concluded at or before January 19, 2018.
5Thereafter, arrangements will be made through the GSB Registrar to schedule a teleconference between Arbitrator and Counsel to address the status of the matter and the process going forward.
