Decision

1These matters involved 12 grievances arising out of the probation and parole offices in Toronto that are part of a multi-organizational unit known as the Guns and Gangs Unit. The grievances allege health and safety violations of article 9 of the collective agreement.

2Brief attempts were made to mediate the differences between the parties. Regrettably, those efforts were unsuccessful.

3The union had previously provided to the employer a draft document outlining the particulars of the grievances. Having heard the submissions of the parties, I order that the union provide full particulars to the employer on or before August 17, 2015. The union said it would be relying upon medical documentation, which could not be available in such a short time frame. Accordingly, the union is ordered to provide medical documentation on or before November 1, 2015.
