Decision

1The parties in this case signed Minutes of Settlement dated February 25, 2014. A question has arisen with regard to the interpretation to be given to a portion of the Minutes of Settlement.

2The amount referred to in Paragraph 1(b) of the Minutes of Settlement is a retiring allowance and as such is not subject to the deduction of EI or CPP.

3The employer shall make best efforts to pay to Ms. Kasperski within sixty (60) days from today’s date the sum of $1,961.03 which represents the amount not already paid to her pursuant to paragraph 1(b) of the Minutes of Settlement.

4In the event that there are any difficulties with regard to the implementation or interpretation of this award I shall remain seized.
