Decision

1The grievance in this case is a group grievance which raises health and safety concerns. It came on for mediation arbitration on February 27, 2015.

2After carefully considering the submissions of the parties I hereby declare and direct as follow:

a) Ms. Joan Farrow and Ms. Lorraine Taylor shall within ten days of today’s date contact the Ministry of Labour for clarification of the order issued on April 14, 2014 which addressed the matter of light levels in the workplace.

b) In the interim, until clarification is received the blinds shall be closed between 7 am and 3 pm.

3In the event that the parties are unable to resolve this matter I shall remain seized.
