HEARING
September 3, 2010.
Decision
1The Board is seized with a grievance filed on behalf of several employees holding the position of Senior Technical Consultant, wherein it is alleged that the employer had failed to pay stand-by time as required by article UN10 of the collective agreement.
2During the mediation-arbitration process held on September 3, 2010, the employer requested that the Board issue an order that the union provide particulars as to the factual basis it relies on in support of the grievance. The union did not oppose the request.
3Accordingly, the union is hereby ordered to provide in writing the requested particulars to the employer on or before Monday November 15, 2010.
4I remain seized of this matter, in the event the continuing discussions between the parties do not result in a resolution of the grievance.
Dated at Toronto this 7th day of September 2010.
