HEARING

January 19, 2006.

Decision

Mr. Gordon Cobb grieved on August 4,2005 that the “ overtime protocol at the Metro-West Detention Centre was not followed as per Cor 8.2.1” on August 3, 2005. The parties referred this grievance to mediation/arbitration in accordance with Article 22.16 of the collective agreement.

At the outset of the hearing, the parties agreed that I had the jurisdiction to deal with this matter and they asked that I issue a decision, without written reasons.

Having carefully considered the submissions of the parties as well as the jurisprudence of the board, I hereby dismiss this grievance.
