HEARING
January 19, 2006.
Decision
Mr. Rick Allain grieved on August 4, 2004 that the “employer has violated Article 8.2.1 of the collective agreement”, and more particularly that “ hospital escorts are not being assigned to escort officers in a fair and equitable manner.” The parties referred this grievance to mediation/arbitration in accordance with Article 22.16 of the collective agreement.
At the outset of the hearing, the parties agreed that I had the jurisdiction to deal with this matter and they asked that I issue a decision, without written reasons.
Having carefully considered the submissions of the parties as well as the jurisprudence of the board, I hereby dismiss this grievance.
Dated at Toronto this 26^th^ day of January, 2006
