HEARING
November 29, 2004.
Decision
This case deals with the grievors’ challenge to the employer’s decision to include production targets or quotas for expected numbers of completed audits as part of the annual assessment of auditors in the retails sales branch. The employer takes the position that the targets do not breach the collective agreement.
The parties agreed that this matter was to be dealt with under the mediation/arbitration procedure set out in Art. 22.16 of the collective agreement. The parties have also requested that I issue a decision without reasons.
Having carefully reviewed the evidence presented and the submissions of the parties, it is my view that the evaluation targets do not violate the collective agreement. As a result, the grievance is dismissed.
Dated at Toronto, this 4th day of January, 2005.
