HEARING

February 16, 2005.

Decision

The parties referred these grievances to mediation/arbitration in accordance with Article 22.16 of the Collective Agreement. The grievances were filed in September of 2003 and involved a pay issue at Maplehurst Correctional Complex during the SARS outbreak. The Union seeks appropriate compensation for all hours worked.

At the outset of the hearing, the parties agreed that I had the jurisdiction to decide this matter, and requested that I issue a decision without reasons.

Having carefully reviewed the evidence presented and the submissions of the parties, I am satisfied that the grievors have been compensated in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

Accordingly, the aforementioned grievances are resolved.
