Decision
This is the final decision on disputes arising from the power outage that affected most of Ontario. On October 30, 2003 the Union filed a policy grievance that stated:
The Union grieves that some of its Union members were not appropriately compensated/credited during the period of August 14-24, 2003 (Provincial Power Shortage).
A hearing was held on November 4, 2003 and a Consent Order issued on November 7, 2003.
With respect to a considerable number of individual and group grievances, the employer takes the position that there is no violation of the Collective Agreement nor the November 7, 2003 Consent Order. The union does not disagree with that assessment.
Having regard to the positions of the parties, the fact that there is no dispute between them, and their agreement that the attached list of cases are covered by the Consent Order, these grievances are hereby dismissed.
Dated in Toronto this 7th day of June, 2005.
