Order
The parties met on January 4, 2005 to commence hearings into this matter. At the outset it became clear that there were some preliminary matters that required procedural orders before the case could be heard. As a result, I make the following orders:
This matter is to be consolidated with grievance GSB # 2002-2537, and the two are to be heard together.
The union is to provide the employer with full particulars as to the violations it alleges and the essential facts it intends to prove at the arbitration with respect to both grievances, within forty-five (45) days from the date of this order.
The employer is to provide the union with full particulars with respect to its response and the essential facts it intends to prove at the arbitration, within forty-five (45) days from receipt of the union particulars.
The parties agreed that I would remain seized with this matter. The GSB will contact the parties in order to set dates for the hearing of these grievances.
Dated at Toronto, this 11th day of January, 2005.
